1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 4-Speed in Tuxedo Black over Black Interior
This documented true SS Chevelle comes with its original build sheet, confirming it as an Atlanta-assembled car originally delivered to Virginia. Restored cosmetically about six years ago, it now wears stunning Tuxedo Black paint with white stripes buried under clear. The body is exceptionally straight with excellent panel fit, believed to retain its original sheet metal. Chrome, glass, and trim all present beautifully, and the car rides on SS wheels wrapped in BFG Radial T/As, giving it the proper stance. A cowl induction hood is fitted (currently non-functional).

Inside, the factory-correct black bucket seat interior with 4-speed center console has been fully restored and looks outstanding. Seats, carpeting, door panels, and headliner are in near-new condition. Original gauges, including tach, appear functional, and the stock radio still works. The chrome Muncie shifter remains in place, adding to the car’s authentic presentation.

Power comes from a non-original but period-correct 396ci V8 believed to be from a ’72 Chevelle. It runs smoothly with stock character, paired to a Muncie 4-speed manual and heavy-duty clutch replaced three years ago. Dual exhaust with chrome tips provides a proper muscle car tone. Equipped with power steering, power front disc brakes, and F41 suspension with sway bars, this Chevelle drives confidently. The undercarriage and trunk are rock solid, with correct detailing.
